Myers Orthodontics

We are so excited that our office is back open!

Myers Orthodontics Family,

We have resumed our normal office hours of Monday through Thursday, 8:15am to 4:30pm. In addition, we will be working on Friday mornings through June 19 to be more available to you. You will notice at your appointment that we have made some changes in order to provide the safest environment for our patients and employees. While some procedures and protocols have changed, we remain committed to providing you with the highest level of orthodontic care possible. Please read the email below that was sent last week, as it covers some of the enhanced protocols we will be implementing for your safety.

RESCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS
Our office staff has been diligently working to contact each patient to reschedule appointments in the order in which they were canceled. This was a time-consuming process, and we appreciate your patience! Our schedule is filling up, however, we will attempt to schedule you some time during the next month.

If you have not received a phone call from us, please call (865) 687-6560 to schedule!

OFFICE PROCEDURES

For the foreseeable future (at least the month of May), our patient scheduling and normal office flow will be a little different. We have made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. Our primary goal with these changes is to attempt to socially distance and to avoid overcrowding in both the reception and treatment areas.

  • When you arrive for your appointment, there will not be as many patients being treated at one time in order to practice social distancing.
  • In an attempt to minimize the number of occupants in the building, we are strongly encouraging parents, siblings, friends, etc to stay in the car. When you arrive for your appointment, please only send in the patient to be signed in and treated. We recognize that some patients may need to be accompanied by parents into the office, but please be respectful of our attempt to limit in-office traffic and only come in if necessary.
  • As always, Dr. Myers will be available to discuss treatment. If you need to speak with him while your child is being treated, please call the front desk, and they will give Dr. Myers the message. If you need to speak with Dr. Myers in detail, he will be available either by phone or to speak face-to-face.
  • If Dr. Myers wants to speak with you about your child’s treatment and you are in your vehicle, he will have one of the staff give you the message. If he needs to speak with you face-to-face, the staff will call you and ask you to come inside.
  • To schedule the patient’s next appointment, please call us at (865) 687-6560 as soon as the patient returns to the car.
  • Please make sure we have your proper phone number and keep your phone available during the entirety of the appointment.
  • If you need to make a payment on your patient’s account, please call us at (865) 687-6560 to pay over the phone. If necessary, one adult may enter the building to drop off the payment with our office staff. Please see the additional methods of payment listed near the end of this message.
  • Please do not be alarmed if we take the temperature of some or all of our patients before they are permitted to be seen. Patients will not be seen if they have a fever or exhibit any cold or flu-like symptoms. We will be happy to reschedule a new time once they are completely fever and symptom-free.
  • Appointments will be scheduled to allow for social distancing between patients. This might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. Thank you for your patience as we seek to find a time that best works for your appointment type.
ILLNESS

Our staff is being regularly screened to ensure they have no signs or symptoms of illness. We also ask that if the patient—or anyone with whom they have been in contact— exhibits any cold or flu-like symptoms, please call us to reschedule their appointment as soon as possible. We will not see any patients that are exhibiting these symptoms, in an effort to mitigate the spread of illness in our practice.

INFECTION CONTROL IN THE OFFICE

Sanitation and cleanliness have always been top priorities at Myers Orthodontics. Universal medical precautions and proper sterilization techniques have been and will always be practiced at our office. During this time, we are going above and beyond what we have done in the past to increase infection control. We want to assure you that we are following the infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. Our goal is to keep you and our staff as safe as possible.

PAYMENTS
As we mentioned above, if you need to make a payment in person, one adult may enter the office to take care of this with our staff. You may also make a payment using one of these methods:

Payment Over the Phone
We can process credit card transactions over the phone.
Mail Slot at Fountain City Location
You may slip your payment through the mail slot on the front door at the Fountain City location. Please make sure your payment is clearly labeled with the patient’s name!

You may send your payment to:
